A recipe request

This morning Susie asked for my healthy banana bread recipe.   Well, the recipe is not my own, it is the recipe of a very dear friend and Sister in Christ.   I have “known” Vickilynn for a number of years through the internet.  She and I have shared many joys in life and prayed for one another through many trials and tribulations.  I sometimes forget that I’ve never met her in person, that our friendship has all been over email, and through the internet and over a few phone calls over the past 15 years.   One of many passions that Vickilynn and I share are a love for creating delicious recipes from whole and real ingredients, in a form closest to the way that God created them, and she and I have shared MANY recipes over the years 🙂   This is one of her recipes that I have made hundreds of times since she created it in either 2001 or 2002.  I do not follow the recipe COMPLETELY as written though, I do not use 1 full cup of honey, I use 1/2 cup honey and 1/2 cup real maple syrup or 1/2 cup organic agave nectar.  The honey has too strong of a flavor for my personal taste.  Otherwise, this recipe is perfect!   It is a fat-free whole grain banana bread, and this recipe makes 2 loaves or a bundt cake pan.  There is a chocolate variation as well listed on the recipe.   I have made this for gifts for lots of people and everyone has loved it.   Give it a try and let Vickilynn know that I sent you over to her blog and website 🙂
