Menu Plan Monday–7/21/08

Here’s my menu for this week…… it is subject to change depending upon whim…..I may add a main dish salad in there somewhere, we’ll see 🙂

Monday, 7/21/08 R is cooking….she wanted to make dinner last week, but our schedules just wouldn’t accommodate it. So on Saturday she and D spent the afternoon scouring Food Network’s website to find just the perfect recipe using the protein that I have thawed out for her to use….and tonight she is cooking! I don’t remember the exact names of the dishes, but she’s making a parmesan crusted pork loin chops dish, and an italian type vegetable dish. I would imagine she will combine this with a green salad, and maybe some of the watermelon that I bought at Farmer’s Market on Saturday.

The rest of the week will include (not assigned to any particular day…..)

  • crockpot lasagna

  • crockpot meatloaf

  • spaghetti (making a BIG batch of sauce so that I can use the sauce in the lasagna)

  • crockpot BBQ ribs

  • crockpot chicken tacos

  • crockpot chili with hot dogs

Yep, I’m using my crockpot a lot this week again! And I’m LOVING it!!!!!

I will post recipes this week as I make the dishes……

I have to ask, How does one make a crockpot meatloaf. Feel free to email me the recipe. Would love to try it.

Hi Anne, First of all, welcome to my blog! Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for commenting! I love “meeting” new people through my blog 🙂 I have made a few crockpot meatloaves in the past, and haven’t LOVED the texture, because they were not sliceable for sandwiches. SO, I’m going to try out the method that Stephanie uses on her blog….I’m going to use my normal meatloaf recipe (I always just “do it”, I don’t remember exactly what I do until I’m making it, which is why I’m going to share the recipe AFTER I’ve made it 🙂 ) and put it into a loaf pan and “bake it” in my crockpot…..BEAUTY, eh? No heating up the kitchen!!!! I will post my results after I’ve actually done it! 🙂 Thanks again for visiting 🙂
