When I went to the farmer’s market a couple of weeks ago, I was talking to my favorite farmer (he’s always great about sharing recipes, and had THE BEST produce, and he’s one of the few growers that I know doesn’t use poisonous pesticides), and asked him about borage flowers (I was checking to see if he had any)…..he said he was out already, but that he’d let me sample the arugula flowers. So he gave me a container of arugula flowers to take home and try…they were incredible! They had a bit of the peppery bite of arugula that I love, but weren’t a mouth full, perfect for more delicate salads, and to go with fruit…..ooooh, I can’t wait for strawberry season! 🙂
Have you tried any of the edible flowers? Do you grow any?
