I know that I have posted before about how blessed we are to see a servant’s heart developing in our oldest daughter, R. Well, one more area of seeing the blessings of homeschooling, and having our children close to home and heart is that this year, our oldest daughter is making Christmas gifts for all of her friends and her small group leaders in youth. She is crocheting scarves and making fudge for them……she started her planning back in late September/early October, and has been buying her yarn at Michaels with the 40% and 50% off coupons each week, and found some cute chinese take out looking boxes that are decorated for Christmas and is going to use those for the fudge. I have to say, I couldn’t be prouder! Rather than going out and spending a lot of money on gifts for her friends, she is spending time pouring herself into those gifts! I have encouraged her to also be praying for those gals while she’s crocheting and this weekend when we make the fudge that she would be praying for them as she’s stirring until her arm is ready to fall off 🙂
I’ll post photos of the fudge making process, and her scarves (she picked some GORGEOUS yarns!!!!) in a few days.
