I promised my friend Dawn that I’d post this recipe ….it is SOOOOOO good, and when D and I went to San Francisco in March, 2005 we got to see Kathleen Daeleman’s make them herself….and we got to try them! 🙂 This is the ONLY way that D and R will eat salmon. They just don’t like salmon, no matter what variety, or how fresh it is, they just don’t like it, but they will eat this recipe!
The recipe is called Salmon Cakes with Asian Dipping Sauce and can be found here . I don’t use as much of the chili paste in my dipping sauce (I use 1/8 of a teaspoon for the base recipe, then add just a touch more to the adults cups of the sauce, because we like it spicier). Oh, if you can’t find the vietnamese fish sauce in your grocery store’s asian section, try an asian market, or here or here .
Here’s a photo tha t I borrowed from Kathleen’s website
If you try these and enjoy them as much as we did, please let me know! 🙂
